Fall resumes, heading indoors

While working on this post in late October, an early Halloween trick knocked on our doors in the form of a fall nor’easter that brought down tree limbs all over town while the still-green leaves piled heavily with icy snow.  My efforts to get back on track ever since are slow going, but I am determined to finish this post!

Above, scenes as the day began to unfold, before the lights went out and the ice flattened grasses & shrubs.

But so much for winter… here are a few more pre-storm snaps of fall’s annual rituals, cleaning up, tucking in, and enjoying the last few fruits of our little orchard.
