The fireflies are getting ready, no lights yet, but they’re in the air. A chipmunk has gnawed all of my peaches, I saw him in the act! Late night, a silhouette of a cat reclining on the wall, basking in the moonlight… hey, stranger. Midsummer arrives with the usual cast of characters and a lingering twilight to observe.
