Armor. Everybody needs some sometimes: ‘a protective covering that is used to prevent damage from being inflicted to an object or individual, or from damage caused by a potentially dangerous environment or action’. Need to ward off some evil?
Part New Orleans garden gate and part black magic, this darkly poetic hand adornment is created to fit a fairly average women’s hand size. This bracelet portion that joins in the back is handmade and offers a few links so is somewhat adjustable, up to about 8″. The chain connecting the viney front panel to the ring is about 1 1/2″ and embellished with deep translucent garnets the color of a nice glass of cabernet. The large winding front piece is about 4″ across at the widest (top portion) and 2 3/4″ tall. The fit is designed to have some room so that the wearer can comfortably move while the decorative vines sit nicely on the flat plane of the top of the hand, below the wrist. The hammered silver finger ring that anchors the undulating vines on this ready-to-ship piece is a size 7 1/4, with a tiny sliver nugget and an elliptical loop on the front that attaches to the garnet-embellished chain. Oxidation enhances the dimensional nature of this striking piece. Please allow for some slight differences that make each piece unique. Note that while the first photo shows this protective armor as a set on on 2 hands, this listing is for one hand only.
