Sometimes known as Inca Rose, rhodochrosite is a semiprecious gem said to promote love, compassion and intuition. The Incas believed that rhodochrosite is the blood of their former kings and queens, turned to stone. Perhaps a dubious claim. But undoubtably, this optimistic stone could melt a few hearts. This specimen is boldly graphic, with waves of pretty pink crystals and striations of grey and cream colored matrix. Old vintage cut, natural color. The stone is about 20×30 mm, set in a custom hand built bezel, joined to a wide (about 3/8) silver ring. It’s about a size 5 3/4. Remember that rings with a wide band fit more snugly than narrow ones (by about 1/3 size or so), so allow accordingly.
This is a one of a kind ring. While I may have similars down the road, no two stones are exactly alike, and each is their own handmade build. The photo of the ring on the hand shows more than one ring, but this listing is solely for one Inca rose, fit for a queen.
