It’s national moth week!  They got the memo.

This guy is really neat, bright orange on the inside.  He wouldn’t oblige me for that photo, though.  Maybe another night… I see him all the time.

This itty bitty wing was sadly separated from it’s owner.

This guy has tucked himself away on the back on one of the deck chairs.  He appears to be saving his energy for the moth week festivities tonight.

Would you like to find out more?  Read all about it here.  And keep your eyes peeled for these little marvels.  The star of the show in moth world even had a nice feature in the Sunday New York Times metro section last weekend –  Luna Moth: Green, Glowy and in Vogue, with a nice nod to the moth festivities this week.

Also stirring this week…

Origanum rotundifolium ‘Kent Beauty’.

“In such a night, Medea gather’d the enchanted herbs.”
-Merchant of Venice, William Shakespeare (1564-1616)

Have a lovely summer evening…
