The colors of summer never cease to amaze, and as I step outside they are everywhere. Tiny details hold a world of amazement. I look closely, knowing all the while that soon the hues will change. For now these vivid impressions seem to have an impact that could rival the seven wonders of the world. I try to commit the colors and shapes to memory in an attempt to store them up like a squirrel for use this coming winter.
In just a few days you will see a couple of summer inspirations from my bench posted here in my blog. And then soon, I hunker down for the harvest season as the goblins peek around the corner. But before fall’s cool breezes begin to nibble at your toes, stop here once more and take a look at some more of this year’s summertime treasures, from garden and stream.
