Watching the doves each morning, the similar shapes of folded wings and hearts is striking. The days go by and I see wings everywhere… this one I’ve snatched from the detailed border of an old iron frame that holds a mirror on a bedside table here… scritch, scratch, sketch – a wing. But not a dove this time, something a little more baroque… yes, a peacock. No colors, though, just those curvy wings to guard a cautious heart for this rare and curious albino bird.
snippity snip snip
a blush of color breathes life into these delicate hearts
and off they go… fly, deliver good wishes, and share your fragile heart in a special corner of this world.
A Happy Valentines day to all of those with hearts, and who listen to birds.
