blackbird ring

A few years back a young friend asked me to repair her broken wings… it brought to mind that famous song and I have been enamored with the idea of wings ever since. I fixed hers up but not before making a little sketch of how I might interpret the idea, and eventually in addition to the necklace and bracelet designs in my shop, there was this, a ring with a presence. I’ve seen the wing theme now and again, but here I have tried to create something a little more special. Meant for the seeker of freedom, watcher of birds, believer in angels, and for those angels here on earth that occasionally cross our paths if we are so fortunate.

Like no other, these wings are exclusively of my own design and I produce and hand finish them in limited quantities. Because each item is individually produced, please allow for the slight variations that make each piece unique. The left and right wing are distinct from each other, each from my hand forged models. The wings are curved and centered on a wide handmade band. Each of these rings comes out a little different but there’s never been one that’s not a stunner. Many of the photos here are of various custom orders. The ready to ship on I have right now is about a size 6. If you’d like a custom size, please inquire.
