fused sterling earrings

Bits and pieces from my scrap box are heated to become tiny molten collages in these one of a kind earrings.  The nature of this process is that they are only made once, a next pair will have a different character even when I’m aiming for this leaf-like shape. The ear wire, soldiered to the fused design, is then carefully hand curved and hammered just so to make these elegant ear shapes.

At the widest point, the earrings are 3/4 inch. Top to bottom, they measure about 1 1/2 inch, including the wire.  Lightweight, tiny sculptures for your ears.
